英国教育专家做客大中文会客厅!

苍兰：
    亲爱的朋友们，现在是7月20日下午3：15分，大中文会客厅已准备就绪。本期做客大中文会厅的嘉宾DEV先生也已就座。
    DEV先生是英国著名的教育专家，身兼英国十多所高等院校的校方董事和教授，长期为中英文化教育交流奔波于亚洲和英伦之间。这次来中国是帮助伦敦和沈阳的院校进行校际联合办学项目。他是我们沈阳人民的好朋友。
    为了能够顺利地完成本期会客厅双语形式的在线访谈，苍兰特别邀请到了沈阳音乐学院的Kevin（吕兆天）同学和秋阳国际人才交流公司的Kelly小姐一同来主持本期的大中文会客厅。Kevin是在校的大学生，英语非常棒，所以我们此次特别邀请他来参与本期的访谈。同时，苍兰还要特别感谢辽宁秋阳翻译公司的同仁所给予的在线翻译帮助，凡是用中文提问的朋友，同样可以得到满意的解答。北京时间3：20分，让我们一同走进本期的大中文会客厅！

Kevin：
    大家好！我们马上开始了

Dev：
    老外来了--我听懂了，你们叫我是老外！很高兴认识沈阳的青年朋友，愿意与你们交流。不知道大家都有哪些问题，我尽我知道的满足大家的需求。

菲菲：
    这可是了解国外生活的一个好机会呀，过去只是在电影和新闻里看到点滴，今天能直面英国专家，有好多问题想请教。我想先问问英国学生的费用，是国家承担吗？自己还要承担多少？

    This is a good chance to understand overseas life, in the past, I can know some thing in the film or news, today I can talk with English expert, I have many questions to ask about
    I 'd like to ask some question about Britain tuition for student, whether State undertakes the tuition completely, how many tuition needs to be bare by the student?

Dev：
    State will bear a portion, personal undertake portion will be determined by the subject they study (to be determined by university or subject) such as engineering 1000, law 3000 or more.
    国家承担一部分，自己承担（根据所学的学校，科目）来决定的，1000-3000英镑大约，如 工程科目1000，法律3000，或者更多。

菲菲:
    英国学生大学毕业后的就业率能达到多少？想达到白领程度大约得需要几年的奋斗？正常的英国白领月薪能达到多少？谢谢！
    What is the employment rate for Britain graduate? How many years effort that a graduate can reach the level of white collar? Normally, what is the salary of the white collar?

Dev：
    About 90% students will be white collars just after their graduation; the salary would be about 20000 pounds per year.
    英国毕业生的就业率在90%左右，而且在他们一毕业就已经是白领了，薪水在他们毕业之后每年大约2万英镑。

暴暴羊：
    我想问一下：如果去英国留学的话，是在学校内部住宿便宜，还是住在当地人家里便宜呢？
    I'd like to know: If I go study in Britain, where is cheaper to live in the university or live in the local family?

Dev:
    In my view, the cost of both would be the same .the least expensive is for a student to rent a room with friends and to share the costs.
    依我看，二者的花费大致差不太多，但如果想便宜，最好是与朋友合租。

遥望牛津：
    很想知道20岁至30岁年龄段ty的英国人的生存方式，我想知道：他们的爱好大都是什么？业余生活有哪些？ 英国青年走出校门后和家庭的关系，是不是还和家里人住在一起？还需要父母的经济资助吗？
    I 'd like to know Britain's life style, I 'd like to know: What are theirs hobby? What are their amateurish lives? What are their relations with family? Whether they are still live with family members? Whether they still need support from their family?

Dev：
    Many young men like to play football or to watch football. Some young man or ladies would use Internet for relaxation. Young people like to visit cinema and go to clubs to meet their friends and to drink beer.
    For majority of cases young people will leave home and live independently ，they live by themselves or with friends.
    大多数年轻人都喜欢踢足球或看足球比赛。有些年轻男女喜欢上网，还有的喜欢看电影，或者到酒吧里和朋友们喝酒放松。。

瞌睡虫：
    Good afternoon Mr. first of all, welcome to Shenyang and I wish you good health. I want to know if adults often work overtime. Could they get their overtime payments? Thanks.
    Dev先生下午好！首先欢迎您来到沈阳，我祝您身体健康！我的问题是英国人是否经常超时工作，他们有没有加班费？谢谢！

Dev：
    First of all, it depends on the type of employment. For managers they are expected to work overtime without payments. This is also the true for teachers. For blue-collar workers and craftsman they are paid for overtime they work.

    首先要看是做哪种工作。对经理而言，他们加班就没有任何报酬，这一原则对教师也同样适用。而对一些蓝领的工人或手工业者而言，如果加班就要付给他们加班费。

遥望牛津：
    英国男女青年的相识方式有哪些，有没有类似中国的相亲现象？他们接受相亲吗？据说国外青年未婚同居的现象很普遍，是不是这样？家长对未婚同居都持什么态度？

    What are the England young men's and young women's acquaintance way, whether they receive the Chinese contact way to know each other by other persons introduction, It is said the overseas youth unmarried lives together phenomenon is very common, really? What is the parent altitude to this phenomenon?

Dev:
    Young people meet through clubs and university and school, it is very rare for them to meet through introduction. Many young couples aged from 20 to 30 will live together before they marry. The changing social pattern means that the parents now accept the life style of the young people.
    年轻人都是通过酒吧，大学和学校结交朋友，相亲的形式倒不多见。许多20岁至30岁的年轻夫妻在婚前都是住在一起的，社会现象的转变意味着父母们现在接受了年轻人的生活方式。

遥望牛津：
    英国青年都有宗教信仰吗？是不是自愿的？
    Whether English young people all have religion, are they voluntary?

Dev：
    The UK is multi-culture society and they practice religion voluntary. The majority of English people are Christian but do not always practice their religion.
    英国是一个多元化的社会，人民的宗教信仰是自愿的。绝大多数英国人都是基督徒，但是并不是所有人都按着教义来约束自己。

Kevin：
    去英国留学的好处在那里啊？
    What is the advantage to go study in England?

Dev:
    We will say education is always important. Now the world is much smaller and it is good for students to understand how people of other countries live. Chinese students may also benefit by learning how other countries do business. This will help the students when they return China.

    应该这样说，受教育永远是重要的。现在国际化让世界变的越来越小，这非常有利于中国的学生们出去走走，去看看别的国家的人民是怎样生活的，可以从中了解其他国家的人是如何做生意的，这对他们回国后会很有帮助。

Kevin：
    在英国学习艺术的被人们认可吗？是什么地位？
    Whether art learner is recognized by people? What is their position?

Dev:
    of course they would be recognized. In the UK and the USA， art also includes fashion study, media studies and graphic design which are so important to modern life. Art is not just about painting and drawing.

    它们当然会被认可。在英国和美国，艺术学习不仅仅包括绘画，同时还包括时装设计，媒体艺术和摄影技术，这些对现代生活而言都非常的重要。

青青河边草：
    很抱歉Dev先生，我的英文不好就说中国话吧。听说英国青年从小独立性就很强，早早离开了父母去社会闯荡．不知父母的养老问题怎样解决？和儿女们住在一起吗？
    It is said that the Independence of Britain young people is very strong from their child times, they leave parent early and go the society, I'd like to know how to solve care for the aged? Whether the aged people still live with the children together?

Dev:
    The family life is changing in the UK and fewer parents will now live with their children. If they unable to look after themselves they would have support from a special care service. Or they may go to a residential care home where trained nurses will look after them.
    在英国，现在的生活方式已有很大的改变，父母极少和孩子们住在一起。如果孩子们不能照顾他们，那么他们就会向一些专门的护理机构寻求帮助。或者他们可以住到养老院去，那里会有专业的护士来照顾他们。

眉眼盈盈：
    英国的教育适用于中国吗？
    Whether Britain education suits for Chinese?

Dev:
    There are many thousands of Chinese students studying in the UK and the evidence from the students is that they enjoy the studies in the UK and benefit from the education.
    在英国有成千上万的中国留学生，这一事实就充分证明了他们很喜欢并得益于英国的教育。

菲菲：
    据说国外对大学毕业后的继续教育很重视，英国在这方面是怎样做的？英国的大学生毕业后是不是很注重考取各种实用的国际认证证书？一般企业认可并通用的认证证书有哪些？
    It is said that foreign pay much attention to the continuous education, What is the Britain doing way in this field? Whether Britain graduate pay much attention to the international recognized certificate after graduate from the university? What is the certificate recognized by the enterprises? Can you take some example for us?

Dev:
    In the UK, it is expected that all people, graduate or non-graduate， will have to receive additional training and education throughout their career. For example, a graduate teacher will require additional management training if they wish to become a headmaster of a school or college. Employers recognize the additional education and qualifications obtained after the graduation. Some people retrain to improve their skills and to use new technology.
    在英国，不管是毕业的还是没毕业的，在他们的职业生涯中都希望进一步接受教育。比方说，一个大学毕业的老师，他如果想将来成为一名学校的校长，就需要在管理方面做些培训。雇员需要继续教育和资格培训。某些人还要再培训以提高技能或掌握新的技术。

苍兰：
    时间飞快，转眼本期大中文会客厅又要和朋友们说再见了，这无疑这是一期很特别的且在某种意义上来说是颇具挑战性的访谈。Dev先生刚从谈判桌上抽身出来，便马不停蹄地走进了大中文会客厅；天气的燥热无疑给这位英国绅士带来了很多麻烦，劳碌的工作也没来得及喘息……     在本期会客厅快要结束的时候，还有些问题没有回答完，对此他表示深深的歉意，并嘱咐我们一定要把问题E－Mail给他，在他回到英国后，可以继续在线回答朋友们的提问。这一切都使我对这位来自异邦的老人抱有深深的敬意！谢谢你，亲爱的Dev！
